Jack's big week!

This week Jack attended Sky Ranch Day Camp. He was there from 9am-3pm Monday-Friday. Josh, Jacob and I missed him so much this week. We kept ourselves busy with swimming, storytime at the library and playdates. Everyday Josh would ask after lunch, "When are we going to get Jack?". While we were missing Jack, he was having a blast!!! They did so many fun things like horseback riding, inflatable waterslides, climbing rock walls, lots of water activites and crafts. Each day at lunch, they would have song and bible time. This week they spent time talking about who they are in the body of Christ. The counselors were awesome and really engaged Jack the entire time he was there. At the end of the week they had a short program. The campers were able to show us the songs they spent time singing, tell us what they learned. Then the counselors gave each camper a "character award" Each award was different for the children and was based on what the counselors observed during their week with their campers. Jack was given the "Gentle Spirit" award. On his certificate his counselors, JP and Matt wrote: "Jack is always real with people. He cares deeply for other people and has a kind heart. Jack is perfectly described by 1 Peter 3:4. We had so much fun with you at camp this week! Don't forget the 4 faces of a man!"
We are so thankful that all the counselors at Sky Ranch camps provided such a Christ-Centered environment for our sweet Jack! Next year Jack will be old enough go to the Sky Ranch overnight camp for a week. Will he be ready??? The big question is..will I be ready???
