Catching up!

I can't believe how much time has gone by since our last post!! The purpose of our blog is to record special events in our lives when they happen that we can share with our family and friends. So much for that this past month!! Daddy went to the Dominican Republic on a business trip for a week and the boys have been fighting one heck of a cold for 8 days! That's the biggest change to having multiple children. More children = more time for the sickness to make it's way through our house.

We had fun the week of Halloween. We talked alot about pumpkins. We painted pictures of pumpkins. We also made pumpkin cookies for Jack's class.

The boys had fun dressing up and trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.




Jack is enjoying school. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning on his way to school we drive through the campus of GA Tech. Each time he sees the stadium he comments, "This is Daddy's school. I want to go to GA Tech like my Daddy.". Of course Scott is thrilled, but I believe he will come to his senses when he gets a little older.
He has learned so much and really enjoys the other children in his class. His fine motor skills are rapidly improving. He is holding his pencil and crayons correctly. He is tracing lines, curves, zigzags and beginning to trace letters. He is also coloring "in the lines" a little better.
He LOVES Jacob and has taken an interest in helping Mommy. He and Josh play very well together despite some sharing issues. Here is a picture of him working on "his computer".


Josh is great! His NAET treatments are working and he is feeling and looking better. He is beginning to identify colors, numbers and letters. He adores his Daddy and savors every moment with him. Josh loves to be outside. Our neighbors, Brooke and Madison each have a scooter and he is showing an interest in riding. We might have to talk to Santa about bringing one that is not pink with a picture of a princess on it. :-) He also loves to build with the Mega Legos. Between he and Jack we run out of Legos to build with. Here is a picture of him trying to ride Jack's Big Wheel.


Jacob has made tremendous strides! EVERYONE that comes in contact with him always comments on his smile. His happiness is infectious. We started feeding him rice cereal two weeks ago. Since then he has had applesauce and bananas. He really enjoys sitting in the highchair and eating solid food like his two older brothers.
He is now mobile. He will get on all fours, rock back and forth and then scoot wherever he wants to go. Here is a picture of him eating rice cereal for the first time.


I have included a couple of pictures of the boy's favorite art project from the month of October.
We practiced our cutting and pasting while making an owl with wiggly eyes. Our shape for the week was a heart.


This is a picture of Jack and Josh decorating their pumpkin cookies.


This is the pumpkin that we painted, cut, pasted and glittered. Our color for this week was orange. In the beginning of the month we learned what a vine was. Jack thought it was pretty cool that pumpkins grow on vines and he was able to paint a picture of a pumpkin growing on a vine.
